Call for abstracts

The Organiser of the 14th CLSS-UK annual meeting 2008, Oxford welcome the submission of abstracts.

Abstract Submission Deadline: 15 June 2008.

1.   Please submit your abstract as email attachments to: Oxford2008@clss.org.uk

2.   An acknowledgement message will be sent to you to confirm the receipt of the submitted abstracts.

3.   Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee before they are accepted. Notification of abstract acceptance will be emailed to the author by 30 July 2008. Accepted abstracts will be presented as oral presentation or poster presentation. Posters with merits will also be selected for a short oral presentation in the oral poster session I and II.

4.   Abstract preparation guidelines are listed as the follows:

(1)   Abstracts must be submitted in English.

(2)   Use a font not smaller than 10-point for the text.

(3)   Limit your abstracts to 400 words.

(4)   Arrange your abstract as the follows:

·  A title: brief and clear, do not indent

·  Authors: All authors’ names without degrees or titles

·  Institution, city and country where the study was performed.

·  Abstracts should be arranged as Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusion.

(5)  Define each abbreviation the first time it is used in the text by placing in parentheses.

(6)    Do not include references, tables, or charts in the abstract.

(7)    Save as .doc format.

Venue

The 14th Meeting of CLSS-UK will take place in St. Annes College, University of Oxford, Oxford, from 13-14 September, 2008.

Registration and Accommodation

Registration Fees: - Fees include coffee on Saturday and Sunday morning; lunch, tea, reception and a formal conference dinner at the College dining hall on Saturday.

        Standard: £110 (£100 before 30 July 2008)

        Student, post doc, academic visitor: £ 55 (flat rate)

Accommodation: We reserved a limited number of college accommodation at £ 43.94 for standard and £ 69.44 en suite on 13 Sept 2008 (breakfast included, first come first served).

Scholarships: We will support up to 40 scholarships to cover the registration fees and part of travel expenses for the delegates. Please tick the box in the registration form if you consider applying for a scholarship.

Car parking: There is strictly no parking space near the college. Please use park and ride if you drive to Oxford.
