Dear Scientists, Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of Dr. Xiong Zhong Ruan, Chairman of Chinese Life Scientists Society in the UK (CLSS-UK), I am writing to invite you to participate the 16th annual Meeting of the CLSS-UK held in Imperial College, London on 11th-12th September, 2010. Also I invite you to submit abstracts and to attend the meeting for making the great success of CLSS-UK annual meeting of 2010.

The aim of the conference is to provide a platform for Chinese life scientists in UK to exchange ideas, to share experience and to establish collaborations within the UK and China. I believe that the meeting will strengthen the academic bridge linking among the UK universities and foster mutually-beneficial relationships among the audience and the speakers.

We are planning to invite renowned professors and senior scientists from UK, USA and China to give lectures in this meeting. The organising committee members are already working together to ensure a wide variety of lectures to be given to cover the various scientific areas of Life Science and Medicine. We particularly encourage young investigators and PhD students to join the meeting by offering a number of travel grants and prizes for the best oral and poster presentations.

It is my great pleasure to introduce Imperial College for those of you who don't know much about her. Imperial College London is a unique University in that it specialises in science, technology and medicine. Its research levels place it among the top three universities in the United Kingdom and is in the fifth position in the world as ranked by the Times Higher last year.

We are working on scientific program now which will be released in the second announcement of this conference.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Imperial College London in this September.

Yours sincerely
