Dr. Lei Cao - University College London

本次讲座我们荣幸地邀请到了来自伦敦大学学院大奥蒙德街儿童健康研究所和大奥蒙德街儿童医院（UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health and Great Ormond Street Hospital）的访问学者曹磊博士，报告题目为Protection of hypothalamus-pituitary function in surgical treatment of hypothalamic region lesions。本次讲座提供线上和线下的参与方式，请大家填写报名问卷，加入本次讲座的微信群（见下方“参会方式”）。我们将根据报名情况来准备相应的餐饮。

嘉宾简介

Dr Lei Cao is an associate professor, associate chief physician, and Master Instructor in Neurosurgery at Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University. Lei had been a medical student at Anhui Medical University, China since 2004 and got his master's degree in Clinic Medicine in 2011. Then he undertook his M.D. in Neurosurgery at Capital Medical University under the guidance of Professor Yazhuo Zhang. Lei joined the Department of Neurosurgery at Beijing Tiantan Hospital in 2014. Since then, his career has been centered mainly on Endoscopy in Neurosurgery, and skilled at the treatment of brain tumors, hydrocephalus, intracranial arachnoid cysts, etc. At the same time, his research is focused on the clinical and basic research of pituitary adenomas and craniopharyngiomas.  He is hosting 4 grants on pituitary adenomas and craniopharyngiomas from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Natural Science Foundation of Beijing. In recent 10 years, he published over 15 research publications as a first author and some of them were on Acta Neuropathologica, Nature Communications, and Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, etc. Now, supported by CSC, he is visiting UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health and Great Ormond Street Hospital of Children for 1 year.
