18th Symposium of Chinese Life Scientists in the UK

We are excited to inform you about our upcoming next 18th Annual Symposium of the Chinese Life Scientists Society in the UK (CLSS) in the most fascinating, diverse and vibrant city of London, UK, 7-8 September 2012.

CLSS-UK it is the only organisation of its kind in the UK run exclusively for Chinese scholars and scientists working in the field of life and bio-medical sciences. Since founded in 1992, CLSS-UK has been dedicated to promoting the communication among scientist/scholars in the UK and to building a link for scientists between UK and China in this field.

The 18th CLSS Annual Symposium aims to connect the scientists both in UK and China and to provide a range of communication platforms. It will offer

  • Keynote lectures by the world class scientists (i.e. Nobel-Price winner, Academic Members and Professors in Cancer, Cardiovascular disease, Stem cells, Cell biology, Immunology)
  • Lectures on specific topics by research funding bodies (i.e. National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Science/Technology of China, Education Section of Chinese Embassy in UK, British Heart Foundation, Medical Research Council, UK)
  • A discussion section for senior members to talk about their experience in career development
  • Scientific posters

The 18th CLSS-UK Annual Symposium will take place at King’s College London, Guy’s Hospital which is located in Central London, next to the new Shard building and nearby Tower Bridge. The meeting organising committee will provide help on (e.g. visa application, hotels, organising local trips). If you are interest in the Symposium please send an email to us as earlier as possible.
